Community Hope recently launched our “450 Campaign” to reach more vulnerable individuals in need of our services. The Campaign will expand our capacity from serving 300 individuals a day to 450. This expansion includes:
Expanding our emergency housing program in Newark, New Jersey for homeless veterans living on the streets or in shelters from 12 to 20 beds.
Construction of a 63-unit veterans village that will ensure affordable housing and supportive services to homeless and disabled veterans.
Community Hope received a $1 million grant to implement this new national program in New Jersey, providing assistance and support services to low income veteran families at risk of losing their homes and to rapidly re-house families who have recently lost their housing.
Development of six (6) supportive housing projects to ensure affordable housing plus services for as many as 24 individuals in recovery from mental illness who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness.
Creation of three new CHAMP residences providing intensive support to help patients leaving the adjacent Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital take their first step back to community and family life.
