Nearly 100 officials, veterans, and supporters attended the November 26th expansion ceremonies and toured the new wing of the Hope for Veterans Program.®

1. CH Executive Director Michael Armstrong (left) presents a Certificate of Appreciation to Richard Goldberg, President of the DRS Technologies Charitable Foundation, in recognition of the Corporation's long-standing support of the Hope for Veterans Program and their contributions to enhancing the lives of homeless veterans.

2. Beth Degnan, Community Outreach Chair of Affinity Federal Credit Union, accepts Community Hope's recognition for Affinity's contributions dating back to the development of the Hope for Veterans Program. Affinity was further recognized for their employees' numerous volunteer hours, assisting veterans with financial literacy skills, including credit counseling, budgeting and establishing savings plans.

3. Somerset County Freeholder Peter Palmer (right) and Theresa Neidich of the County's Office of Community Development accept Community Hope's appreciation for the County's support of the Hope for Veterans Program. In addition to funding for development of the project in 2004, the County's Community Development Block Grants support employment and computer training for veterans at the Program.

4. Robert Lomauro, CEO of the Somerset Hills YMCA, (right) accepts Community Hope's Certificate of Appreciation for donating the proceeds of their annual 5K Flag Day Runs to serving homeless veterans. The 2006 and 2007 races raised $50,000 and were critical to the opening of the new wing.

5. Richard Amster, a decorated World War II veteran and a Trustee of the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, addresses the veterans at the November 26th ceremonies. He accepted Community Hope's Certificate of Appreciation presented to the Foundation for their $78,000 grant establishing a Discharge Planning Program to assist veterans graduating from the Hope for Veterans Program.
