Eviction Diversion Program
Community Hope’s Eviction Diversion Initiative is a homeless prevention program which aims to improve housing stability for New Jersey individuals and families facing eviction. This program focuses on addressing the needs of the most vulnerable and at-risk individuals who, without additional support services, would become homeless. Participants in this program receive eviction diversion and navigation services to achieve housing stability.
Community Hope’s program is available to individuals and families residing in Bergen, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Warren Counties in New Jersey.
To be eligible for EDI services individuals and families must meet the following criteria:

- Be the head of household of a residence in one of the counties in the identified service areas
- Be residing in permanent housing, but at risk of losing their permanent housing as evidenced by an eviction notice
